REFRIGERATOR PROBLEMS

LOUD/CONSTANT NOISES

Loud refrigerator noises are the most common reason we get called for repairs. A noisy refrigerator usually has a damaged condenser fan motor or broken evaporator fan motor inside the freezer. We may ask you where you think the noise is coming from because these parts are in different locations and knowing which one is the problem guarantees that we will arrive with the right parts and tools to fix the problem.

WATER LEAKS

Our certified appliance repairmen commonly repair leaking refrigerators. The refrigerator leaks when it has a damaged water inlet valve or the door does not close right because of a bad hinge, damaged gasket, or problem with the door latch. We routinely carry the parts necessary to fix these problems on a short, same-day service call.

WON’T START

Whenever your refrigerator or any appliance will not start, make sure it is getting electricity. Check the circuit breaker and make sure the appliance is plugged in. Then call us. Common reasons that a refrigerator that will not run are that the compressor overload relay is broken or that there is a malfunction in temperature control. We carry the parts to fix this problem for all major brands.

ICE MAKER WON’T MAKE ICE

When the ice maker does not make ice you have a problem with freezer temperature control or either a water fill tube or water inlet valve is damaged and not working. When the ice maker works too slowly you will get smelly ice cubes. We can fix this problem too!

FRIDGE TOO COLD/TOO WARM

Refrigerators sometimes run too warm or too cold. When the refrigerator is too warm it typically has a damaged air inlet damper. When it is too cold there is an issue with the thermistor or with the temperature control. This too-cold problem also happens with freezers and for the same reasons. We carry the parts and tools to fix temperature control issues on all major brands.

BROKEN WATER DISPENSER

When the refrigerator water dispenser does not work correctly there is a problem with the dispenser actuators or the water inlet valve. This is an unusual issue but we still carry parts to fix it for GE, Sears, Sub-Zero, Whirlpool, and Kenmore as well as other major brands.

DOOR LATCH/BULB PROBLEMS

When the refrigerator door does not close correctly you will get condensation in the refrigerator and leaks. Food may go bad and your electric bill will go up too. We routinely fix problems such as damaged door latches, bad gaskets, broken seals, or malfunctioning hinges. And, we will also fix or replace burned out light bulbs in the refrigerator or freezer.
