STOVE PROBLEMS

WON’T TURN ON/IGNITE

When your gas stove will not turn on, check the pilot light and if that is OK, then call us for repairs. When an electric stove, make sure it is plugged in and that a circuit breaker has not flipped off. Damaged infinite switches, surface elements, bake and broil elements, and oven burner igniters are the usual suspects when the stove will not turn on or ignite.

BURNER/OVEN WON’T HEAT

When your oven does not heat up, it has a bad oven sensor or the bake element is broken. Burners don’t turn on or heat up when the terminal block is not working, there is a broken burner switch, or a heating element itself is broken. These are all problems that we fix on a one to two-hour service all on all major brands.

TIMER/PROGRAM ISSUES

Both the timer and the program settings on your stove are run by a control board. When you cannot set time and temperature to bake, the control board is broken. This is a part that simply needs to be replaced. We carry the controls boards needed for GE, Sears, Kenmore, LG, and several other brands of stoves and ranges.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

An oven that is too hot burns your food and is dangerous. When this happens a sensor is not working correctly or the thermostat is broken. In either case, call our experienced technicians for help and do not try to fix the problem on your own. It is dangerous!

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

When the igniter glows but refuses to ignite, there are several possible problems. An electronic control might not be working correctly, a temperature sensor may be malfunctioning, a surface igniter may be broken, or there may be a bad safety valve. Call us for this problem. We carry the parts to make this repair for all major brands.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

A problem we see specifically with new self-cleaning ovens is that when they finish the cleaning cycle the door refuses to open! We will check out the door latch, thermostat, seals, and more to determine why this is happening. Then we will fix or replace parts at needed to make this does not happen again.
